While there was no formal Christmas program this month on campus, the CCC Music Department was quite busy bringing Christmas to those in our immediate community. On Wednesday, December 4, the CCC Bell Choir appeared on Good Day Tampa Bay on Fox News Channel 13 during one of the segments of their morning program. This is the third time CCC was invited to perform at Fox News studio. Fox News Channel 13 covers a major segment of Florida's central west coast viewing audience.

On Saturday evening, December 7, the Concert Choir joined the Christmas Candlelight Processional at Epcot in Orlando and sang with the mass choir of three hundred voices that assembled. This concert featured traditional Christmas music and was centered on the reading of the Christmas story from the Bible by actress Whoopi Goldberg. After their concert, students were able to enjoy the park and stayed up to the final fireworks.

And finally, the Bell Choir traveled to Tampa on Sunday afternoon, December 8, and participated as part of the 31st annual H.B. Plant Museum's Victorian Christmas Stroll. This community event is scheduled annually on December 1-23 between 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. daily. This year's stroll was quite unusual in that the weather in the Tampa Bay area was hovering around 80, not quite the wintery weather expected around Christmas or being experienced by the rest of our nation.

Such performances raise the level of awareness of the Clearwater Christian College in our community and state, give our students some unique experiences where they can use their talents for Christ, and allow for some fond memories along the way. Special thanks go to Dr. Pattye Casarow for training our students and arranging these unique venues.
