The Cougars head baseball coach Josh Rebandt has released the 2014 schedule for the upcoming season. The team is coming off a 2013 campaign finishing 4th at the NCCAA DII World Series. Over the offseason, the NCCAA voted to combine both NCCAA DI and DII Baseball into one division, with the NCCAA World Series to be hosted at Prasco Park in Mason, Ohio. This past spring, eleven players were taken in the 2013 MLB Draft that competed in the NCCAA World Series.

The baseball team will open up their season on Tuesday, January 28 at home against Taylor University (NAIA). This will be the first meeting between these two teams in school history.

The Cougars will host four weekend series against the following schools: Hiwassee College (NCCAA), Cedarville University (NCAA DII), Toccoa Falls College (NCCAA), and Tennessee Temple University (NCCAA). The team will also be home for a three game set on another weekend, but will be split between a Friday night game against Ohio Valley University (NCAA DII) and a Saturday doubleheader against Johnson University-Florida (NCCAA).

Clearwater will be on the road for a pair of weekend series against Northwood University (NAIA) and Ave Maria University (NAIA), both of which will be rematches of last year's series. As they have a split home three game set, the same will be for an away split as the team will play at St. Leo University (NCAA DII) for a Friday night game and a Saturday doubleheader at Edward Waters College (NAIA). Clearwater will also travel to Toccoa Falls College (NCCAA) and Johnson University-Florida (NCCAA) for a pair of doubleheaders.

The Cougars have thirteen midweek games scheduled with two game series against Eckerd College (NCAA DII), Webber International University (NAIA), Warner University (NAIA), Southeastern University (NAIA), and Grace College (NAIA). Other midweek games will be against Taylor University (NAIA), Florida Memorial University (NAIA), and Alderson Broaddus University (NCAA DII).

The 3rd Annual Mayor's Cup will take place on Saturday, April 19th against St. Pete College (NJCAA I). The Titans have come out on top in both years so far, with a 3-0 win in 2012 and a 2-1 victory in 2013.

The NCCAA South Regional will be hosted by Point University in Atlanta, Georgia. The dates for the tournament have not been set yet. The NCCAA World Series will be May 14-17 in Mason, Ohio at Prasco Park.

Coach Rebandt had this to say about the upcoming schedule in 2014, "We are really excited about our schedule this year because we are raising our level of competition. We have a lot of NCAA DII and NAIA programs that we will be competing against, and that is going to help prepare us for our Regional Tournament with our goal to get back to the World Series this year."
