Dr. Klem welcomed Dick Merryman and members of the local camp of The Gideon's International to chapel on Monday, March 18, to share their ministry and to distribute copies of the English New Testament to our college family.
For over 100 years, The Gideons International has been an evangelical Christian organization dedicated to distributing copies of the Bible worldwide. They have distributed Bibles to 195 countries and in 90 different language and dialects. Last year, over 184 million copies of the Bible were distributed through their various ministry programs. For some of our young people, this was their first exposure to this unique ministry and all rejoiced to hear Mr. Merryman share testimonies of a few who have come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ because they received or found a Gideon New Testament or Bible.
CCC students were given an opportunity to take one of their New Testaments as they left chapel either to use personally or to give to someone they know who needs a copy of God's Word.
